Sotran Tropical Furniture is the love-child of Mary-lou Pope and David Lotter.

The desire to travel the world and discover the craft secrets it had to offer inspired them to pursue this 12 year old adventure.

They found that style and good design can be scratched out from many exotic locations on this Planet. But keeping it affordable and fresh was a huge challenge which still keeps them out of South Africa at least four months a year. The Owners concentrate on hand-picked and co-designed items, usually family made in small village communities. This upholds the ethic of FreeTrade and Eco-sustainability which is so important for Companys that deal in natural products like timber.
