Penny Lane Lodge is situated in beautiful Somerset West at the gateway to the Cape Winelands. Our guest house provides affordable accommodation in a central location with the spectacular backdrop of the Helderberg mountains.
Conveniently located just 20 minutes’ drive from Cape Town International Airport, Penny Lane Lodge is 40 minutes from central Cape Town and 15 minutes from the historical university town of Stellenbosch. There are 6 major golf courses nearby and we are close to the lovely clean and sandy beaches of Strand and Gordon’s Bay.
Penny Lane Lodge offers 6 comfortable individual units all with en-suite bathrooms sleeping between 2 and 4 people. There is a swimming pool, bar & dining room, braai / barbeque areas and secure parking within the grounds of the property. All units also have their own separate entrances and are equipped with a television, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning units.
Studio 1 (sleeps 4) is an ideal family unit for a couple with children. Queen bedroom with seating area, en-suite shower and toilet; second bedroom with 2 twin beds.
Studio 2 (sleeps 2) has 2 twin beds and en-suite shower and toilet.
Studio 3 (sleeps 3) has queen bed and en-suite with over-bath shower.
Our studios are located over the main building and share a balcony overlooking our sparkling swimming pool and lush gardens with stunning views of the Helderberg mountain range beyond. Our other units are located separately within the grounds.
The cottage (sleeps 4/5) has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twin beds, both with their own bathrooms. There is a separate kitchen and lounge. Outside there is a pretty, secluded patio with seating area and barbeque.
Chalet 1 (sleeps 2) has two twin beds and en-suite shower and toilet.
Chalet 2 (sleeps 2) has a queen bed and en-suite shower and toilet.
Each chalet has a mini kitchen, indoor seating area and outdoor patio with a barbeque area in the garden.
Although our accommodation is geared towards self-catering, breakfast can be ordered at an additional cost. There is secure parking within the property and you will receive your own gate control with your room key when you check in.
Here at Penny Lane Lodge with your hosts, Kevin and Diane White, you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere. After a busy day, return to enjoy a drink served to you from our bar, relax around our swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens or simply sit and enjoy the view from your balcony or patio.
