I have been coming to Basic Bistro for years and not only have they managed to maintain a high standard for service and food quality, the food prices have only increased slightly. A no fuss basic menu that is excellent value for money. If you are looking for a great place to people watch, get a table outside but get there early as they fill up quick! The bread and mezze type starter is unbeatable. The gourmet burgers are delicious and beware they are huge. Wine list is a bit limited but the great ambience and value for money makes this bistro a favorite among locals.
Basic Bistro is an awesome french-inspired eatery in the heart of Stellenbosch. The food is great, especially the ice-cream dessert. Awesome vibe, good prices as well.
