Whilst the subject is being asked and answers a series of questions, the Polygraph measures and records several physiological keys, such as relative changes in blood volume, thoracic and abdominal breathing patterns as well as skin conductivity.
The American Polygraph Association (APA) believes that scientific evidence supports the validity of Polygraph Examinations that are conducted and interpreted in compliance with documented and validated procedures. Thus, such examinations have great probative value and utility for a range of uses.

Periodic screenings:
To determine the honesty of your existing employees. These tests are normally done every (3) three months and is an effective tool to prevent theft and dishonesty at the workplace.
Pre-employment tests:
Employment history verification and honesty with regards to his employment application. Confirms any involvement in theft, criminal activities, drugs etc.
Confirmatory tests:
Confirming of truthfulness of statements – especially if two conflicting statements are submitted by two or more individuals relating to the same issue (“he says / she says”)
Director, Tersia Fritz is our Forensic Psychophysiologist and was trained in 2007 at the American International Institute of Polygraph and in 2008 did an advance course with the Academy for Scientific Investigative Training (Forensic Assessment Interview and Integrated Interrogation Techniques). She is a member of the Polygraph Association of South Africa (PASA) and the American Polygraph Association (APA).
** Please note that we do not conduct Voice Stress Analysis (VSA), which is said to record psychophysiological stress responses that are present in the human voice. It has been said that it is not possible to cleanly separate the voice signals into components, due to emotion and those due to deception. The technique's accuracy remains debated. There are no independent research studies that support the use of VSA as reliable lie detection technology, whilst there are numerous studies that dispute its reliability.
