Phone Repairs

There are few things as frustrating as a broken phone or tablet. This often has us questioning it we have to replace the device, or if it’s possible to get it repaired at a worthwhile price. Snupit can be used to find phone and tablet repair shops in your area. More often than not, you will be able to take your device in and they can diagnose the problem for free. However, sometimes it can be frustrating to go all the way to the repair shop just to be told that nothing can be done. In order to avoid situations like this, here is a list of common phone or tablet problems that are usually fixable:

1.    A cracked or broken screen

Having a cracked or broken screen can be devastating. Most of us assume that once this has happened its game over for the device. However, there are many cases in which it’s actually possible to fix the screen. A screen is often made up of a glass screen and a digitizer. If the two are connected the screen is usually quite difficult to fix. However, if it only the glass screen that has cracked, you may be able to fix it for relatively cheap. It’s a good sign if your phone can still function with the broken screen. It’s even better news if the touch screen is still operational.

2.    Faulty Headphone Jacks:

Headphone jacks often stop working if they become loose or something blocks the headphones from being plugged into the jack.  The jack usually becomes loose if it is used often. Perhaps the headphone jack is handled more roughly than it should be. The good news is that a headphone jack is one of the easiest parts of a device to replace. This is because it’s pretty much the same across all brands and makes.  Moreover, a faulty headphone jack usually doesn’t affect the functionality of the rest of the phone.

3.    Loose or sticky buttons

Buttons can be replaced for a reasonable price. In fact, most smart phones these days usually don’t even have buttons. This means that the price of replacing buttons has become even cheaper as most repair shops are just trying to get rid of their stock. Your buttons could simply be stuck or loose due to some wear and tear. This is an easy fix for most professional repairers.

4.    Replacing the camera

A cracked lens is probably the fault that your device is experiencing. It’s pretty unusual for the camera to break in any other way. In addition to this, replacing the entire camera is probably the only way to fix the problem. This can be done easily as the camera is usually attached with one cable. However, it should be noted that replacing a camera is on the pricier side.
