Home Cleaning

Keeping your house spick and span is a surefire way of impressing visitors and at the same time, enhancing your experience of living there. Almost every person wants to pay attention to house cleaning, but the stress of everyday life often leaves them with limited time for this chore. However, house cleaning doesn’t have to eat into your leisure time. Consult this ultimate house cleaning checklist that’ll make your life easier:

Start with the Kitchen

The best place to start cleaning your home is the kitchen. If you clean your kitchen on a daily basis, this won’t take long.

•    Take a cloth or rag and start wiping the countertops in your kitchen. You should start with the countertops and cabinets located near the stove, as they are more likely to be affected by spills and splashes. While you are at it, wipe the stovetop clean as well.
•    Wipe down the front of each appliance in your kitchen, including the fridge and cooking range.
•    Clean the sink, particularly the inside. Remove any stains there.
•    Open the microwave door and clean the inside of the door as well as the internal part of the microwave.
•    Lastly, mop the floor and leave it to dry.

Clean the Bathrooms

Once you are done with the kitchen, move on to the bathrooms.

•    Clean the tiles using a tile and gout cleaner
•    Remove all the items from your medicine cabinet and clean thoroughly
•    Place a bath mat in the tub and fill with warm water. Once the walls are wet, apply gout cleaner here as well.
•    Wash the sink and the countertop
•    Wipe the shower and sink faucets
•    Use a glass cleaner and microfiber cloth to clean the mirror

Do make sure you remove all the rugs, doormats, and wastebaskets while you are cleaning your bathrooms.

Sprucing Up Your Bedroom

Now, move to your bedrooms. Start by dusting your bedroom furniture and fixtures and vacuum the floor and curtains. Also, remove any items that you don’t need in the bedroom to reduce clutter. These steps will take care of the job. The only catch is you need to remove all furniture before you vacuum the room.

Cleaning Your Windows

Last, but not the least, you need to clean your windows. A simple cleaning job can make your windows look good as new. For windows that are within your reach, use a glass cleaner that ensures no streaks. Use a newspaper to wipe it off. For windows that are high or slightly out of reach, you can use a squeegee. Make sure you don’t scrub windows with too much pressure, particularly if they are made from glass.

Follow this checklist to ensure you can clean your home perfectly. Keep in mind that this is a general house cleaning checklist and you may need to modify it to suit your needs. However, if you feel cleaning your house is too much of a hassle, you can call in professional cleaners to handle the task for you.
