At Dhansay and Roberts Biokineticists we rehabilitate injuries using exercise to improve function and decrease pain.
Since 2014 we have been developing our knowledge and skills in the treatment of overuse injuries, injuries post-surgery and other traumatic injuries.
Depending on the type of injury, we will intervene at different stages of the rehab process.
Injuries we can help rehabilitate from the start of the rehab process:
1. Overuse injuries
Injuries caused by excessive activity over a period of time.
E.g. Achilles tendinopathy (Achilles tendon pain), Patellofemoral pain syndrome (Runner’s knee), Rotator cuff tendinopathy (shoulder impingement).
Injuries we can help rehabilitate post-physiotherapy:
(A physiotherapist should be seen for the first phase of rehab for injuries post-surgery and other traumatic injuries)
2. Injuries post-surgery
E.g. ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair/meniscectomy, rotator cuff repair.
3. Traumatic injuries
Injuries caused by a sudden injury event
E.g. Muscle strain, ligament sprain, bone fracture or other soft tissue injury.
