What training and/or membership affiliations do you have that relates to your work?

My career started of working for a small architectural firm specialising in ultra luxury houses. I worked there for 5 years, most of the design influence and inspiration come from having worked on project in this firm. It also made me aware that great architecture does not have to cost a fortune and the concepts are the same across all aspects of the design process.

Describe a recent project that you have completed.

before moving to the western cape, the last project of scale was a new cape dutch style house i did for the owner of the site, the original design was not mine but from the handover to the final stage i was responsible for making sure all national building regulations and council requirements were met and that the plans were approved for construction. the project is now complete.

as my services are related to municipal approval (local authority) i can not guarentee every plan will be approved. Albeit with my experience and the quality of the plans I prepare no plan has ever not been approved. I do guarantee that i every aspect of the National building regulations is strictly adhered too.
