It is my second time staying here in East London. The first time I stayed at Anytime in 2014, it was still growing and the owner was trying to find her feet. Now in 2016, it has grown and I must say it is looking good. Good job AnyTime Motel :)
THE PLACE IS LIKE A PRISON SUCH RIDICULOUS STUFF AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER THAT CARES ABOUT NOTHING BUT MONEY. NO BATHROOM MATS, SOAP AND TOILET ROLLS YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO BUY ONE FROM THEM. YOU CANNOT BE GIVEN ROOM KEYS BUT LEAVE THEM AT RECEPTION IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE KEY THEN YOU MUST GIVE IN A DEPOSIT OF R100 AND HAVE TO TELL THEM WHENEVER YOU HAVE TO LEAVE AND COE IN. BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE ROOM THEY HAVE TO CHECK IF YOU DID NOT LEAVE ANY STAINS ON BEDDING AND TOWELSF SO YOU HAVE TO PAY R50 FOR EACH DIRTY ITEM. WHEN WE WABTED OUR MONEY BACK WE WERE TOLD OF A NO REFUND POLICY AND WERE TOLD WE ARE NOT GONNA BE GIVEN OUR MONEY. THE REFUND POLICY IS NOT ANYWHERE IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PRINTED OUT AT THE BACK OF THEIR RECEIPTS. THE OWNER IS RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
This place is a complete disappointment and actually a real dump. We booked in there for the weekend of the Ironman 70.3 but it is not at all what is promised on the website and the photographs on the website were most definitely not taken there. It is dirty and disgusting and in a very bad part of town. They do not even provide toilet paper, there were no bath mat or shower curtain and the kitchen utensils were in a shocking condition. You have to leave the room keys with reception every time you leave, and we were not provided with keys to the gate, so had to ask someone to open up the gates for us, every time we left or arrived at the premise.We had no choice to stay there for 1 night, as we arrived rather late at night, but the next morning we moved out to a hotel on the beachfront. The owner agreed to only charge us for one night, and gave us back 50% of the rest of weekend.
